NEW CLOTHES

It's been a busy ten days. Several people went with me or met me at the Unicity BiosLife Slim meeting we went to in Wausau. Everyone that went was so impressed with what they heard that they are all on board with the product. Enough for them and their families.
Here's a website you can look at for more information.    www.resultswithslim.com
You want to see results?? Here's a picture Sarah took of me this morning. She said, Mom, we have to take you shopping, your skirt is TOO BAGGY and makes you look frumpy. Well that astounded me because I was just so happy to be able to fit into that skirt again I didn't realize it was too big for me. LOL Five weeks ago I tried on this skirt before our church convention and decided it was going on the rummage pile. I couldn't wear it because it was too uncomfortably tight in the waist to sit all day in it. LOOK AT THAT!!! I'm happy to keep it on the rummage pile but now it's because it's too big!! I am so excited.

If you want to look good by Christmas and weigh in twenty pounds lighter and many inches removed, Call me, text me, e-mail me, comment on this post, SOMETHING to get a hold of me so we can get you started right away.

three week comparison

Thought you might like to see a three week picture comparison.  Let me tell you I was shocked this a.m. when I pulled on what used to be a very snug pair of jeans and I had to find a belt to put with them.  The fun thing about that; I anticipated a couple of weeks ago that I might be needing a belt and picked one up at a thrift shop.  It was kind of small around the waist and the tip just went through the loop with only the tip showing.  Today,  I pulled that belt two inches through the loop!  WOOT!  How fun is THAT????!!!

So here I am with the same shirt on that I had on Sept 26th.  What do you think?  Can you tell a difference?

size_14_fat_by_upper_arms(5)[1]third_week_(2)[1]

Think about it, there are three and a half, Three Week periods left in this year.  What would it mean to you if you could go into the New Year without bringing all that baggage with you? What if, on New Years Day you wouldn’t have to make that same old resolution once again?  You wouldn’t have to say This year, I’m going to get in shape because you will already be there.  Won’t that be fun?  I’m enjoying the journey and hope to fit into that little black dress that still hangs in my closet.  Open-mouthed smile  Click the link below to see WHY this works.  No pills, no frills, no skipping meals, no cravings.  Just one little click, go ahead.

You might notice these measurements are a bit different than the ones I first posted.  That’s because I realized I didn’t include the one chest measurement the first time I posted.  Somehow I missed that row.  So now it is in the chart.   Lookee there, I figured out how to add the chart. TA DA!!

WOOT!!  That is over 15 inches gone in three weeks.  Now I am really pumped.  No wonder that blouse fit!  Did I tell you about the blouse?  I have this red blouse and for over two years I haven’t been able to button it because it pulled and gapped.  I used to be able to button it when I bought it.  I have been using it as an over blouse for sleeveless dresses or tank tops.  Yesterday, I put it on over a sleeveless dress and I couldn’t believe it, it overlapped the button hole side by a full inch.

That’s enough excitement for today.  I promise you tomorrow I will post that picture of all the books that I have tried to lose weight with

All Those Methods

All Those books!

I know you’re not going to believe this, but yes indeed, I did read and try most of these.  Some of the Prevention ones I just read because most of them were aggressive exercise and standing on your head type things.  You had to join a gym or have special equipment.  But every time a new month rolled around I would look quickly at the article that told how you could lose it and have a flat belly in 2 weeks or some such ridiculous time frame.

In addition to these I did Susan Powter.  Remember Stop the Insanity?  Well, looking back….I do believe that is when I started packing on the pounds.  Susan’s mantra was it takes fat to make fat and she advocated high carb-lo fat.  Well it sounded good to me at the time but I do believe that is where the Leptin Resistance started kicking in.  She said you could eat all the calories you wanted as long as they didn’t have much fat in them.  Funny, there are a couple of doctors out there who advocate this too.  Let’s see, there’s Dr. Neal Benard, Dr. Pritkin, and a couple of others.  Another book that is missing is Barry Sears eating 40/30/30  40 g carbs, 30 g protein, 30 g fat.  I tried Deepak Chopras spiritual way to lose weight. And there are probably others.  Nutritional books were kind of an addiction with me.  I liked to read and try things too so I could help other people.

Here’s the picture you have been waiting for….well one of them,  I promise I will post the Before pictures sometime before ninety days is up.  Without further delay, got that drum roll going?

Stories and More Stories

What’s not to like about this?

NEVER SKIP A MEAL and still lose fat.

At the Unicity meeting I went to last Saturday I got to meet a few people and hear their stories about using Bios Life Slim.  It was great to meet real people face to face that have their stories to tell.  I’d like to share them with you.

First off, was Wes.  Wes is eighty-seven.  Here is his story as he told it.  “A few months back I went to the doctor and he told me I had diabetes.  That scared me.  He put me on some pills for it.  It really scared me.

When I told my neighbor, he told me about this product his daughter had used to lose weight and it was supposed to be good for diabetics.  Well, Julie came over and talked to me and I bought a couple of boxes but when it came, I had lost my interest and just threw it in the cupboard.  I waited two months and then I had to go back to the doc.  He scared me again and I came home and started taking this stuff.  When I went back (to the doctor) two months later, he said, well Wes, your cholesterol went up a little bit but your A1C (diabetic test) came down from 8 to 6.1(4-6 is the normal range) and you’ve lost thirty pounds.  Now I wasn’t even concerned about my weight, I just figured, I am what I am and I didn’t care one bit about the weight, until the doc told me I lost thirty pounds.  Then I got excited about it.  When he wrote my prescriptions he didn’t write me anything for the diabetes. “

Jackie ~  “I run a bar so I know lots of people but I also like my three beers a day.  That’s who I am and that’s what I do.  So Julie came in one day and told me about this product she had used to lose weight and I could see she looked GOOD!  I bought some to humor her and it sat in my closet from January to March.  I never get in front of a camera.  NEVER!  But someone caught me over the holidays on a picture and I happened to be looking through those photos in March.  I knew I was big but that picture showed me just how big I was.  So I dug that stuff out of the closet.  I haven’t changed a thing about the way I eat but I dropped forty-one pounds.  I went from a size 16 to a size 8.  I still eat pasta, I still drink my three beers a day, all I do, because I’m not hungry after drinking my Bios Life Slim, is when I go out to eat, I ask for a to go box right away and I put half of my meal in there and take it out to the car right away.  I was raised to clean my plate so even if I’m not hungry, I would eat it anyway, but now I’m so uncomfortable if I do that, I just cut it in half and I’m completely satisfied but not stuffed anymore.”

Helen ~  “I got on this to lose weight a couple of months ago.  It had to be simple for me, or I wouldn’t do it.  I have said for a long time, the only way I’ll lose weight is if someone sews my mouth shut.  I haven’t changed anything about the way I eat, I just don’t want as much to eat.  We went out last night and I ordered the big steak and baked beans like I always do but I could only eat 1/3 of it and those beans that I love, I had half of them.  I took the rest home.  I like beer too and I had my two beers.  I haven’t changed anything and I have lost twenty-seven pounds in two  months.

So there you have it.  If after watching the videos and reading the stories, you want to get started so you look GREAT by Christmas, leave me a comment, call me, e-mail me, Let’s have fun and lose this fat together!  To your good health!  Thanks for visiting.

On losing FAT

losing weight and losing fat are two different things

There are exciting things going off around here.  The scale now shows OUT of the 150’s.  Woot!  And that’s a happy thing.  That means I have lost over 1/2 a foot of weight.  Think of a seven inch bed of concrete laid down and that’s how much fat is gone from my body.  I say that because it’s not only seven pounds gone now but seven inches too!

It is SO fun,  I mean, REALLY fun to pull on clothes that I didn’t- couldn’t wear this summer and actually be able to zip them up.  The pants I took my before picture in (you haven’t seen it yet, but you will)  They actually sit now right below my belly button where they are supposed to sit.  Before, because of the fat, I had them pushed down and the waistband was still rolling over.  And the fat, well the fat hung over like the  big ole muffin top it was.

BEAUTY~ I am not skipping any meals.  I’m eating like I normally would.  I have more energy as the fat burns and I feel great, especially looking in the mirror.  WOOT!  My blood pressure this a.m. was 104/67 MUCH more in range for me.  My pressure used to always run on the low side and what is normal for others is high for me.

Now for the lesson~ Losing Fat vs Losing Weight

Quick, the store is having a sale, it’s 5 lbs. for three dollars.  Let’s go!  Whaaaattt??? Five lbs. of WHAT?

Yep that’s what you should be asking when you begin your fat loss journey.  Do you want to lose FAT or do you just want to lose pounds?  Pounds could be losing critical muscle and water.  Yep, you’ll see the numbers on the scale go down and eventually you will see inches go down too because starvation always equals inches lost eventually.  But when you see the inches go down and sometimes even more than the weight, then you will know you are on the right track. icon-train

Let’s take a look at some popular weight loss programs that get pitched to us.  (names changed slightly so there will be no copyright infringements)  Use your imagination. :0

Waste Watchers:  Yep, how many people do you know who have been this route?  mmm-hmm I think everyone of us knows someone.  Were they successful in taking the weight off?  Most of them were.  Were they successful in keeping it off.  Most of them were NOT.  Within a year every single person had gained all of their weight back and within the second year they have gotten much larger than before.  Why is this?  WW is based on starvation.  You get calories proportioned out to you based on your goal and your starting weight.  When you eat less than it takes for your Basic Metabolism Rate (BMR )to keep a couch potato alive, your body will begin to use muscle for fuel.   Muscle is where the fat is utilized.  If you decrease the size of the muscle you have LESS fat burning capability.  The body says, “I’m starving” and it saves the fat.  The muscle gets smaller.  So when you decrease your calories and increase your activity your body actually stores fat.  It wants to burn the fat but if the furnace (muscle)  is smaller how can you get more wood (fat) in there?  Does that make sense?  What you want to do is have your furnace be more efficient.  (kudos to WW…they now say cutting calories is not working and allow endless fruits and veggies to count as no points)

You do this by NEVER eating lower calories than your BMR.  How to you calculate that?  It’s simple.  Take your current weight and take 10% of it.  Add two zeros.  If you currently weigh 160 lbs.  It takes 1600 K (calories) just to keep you breathing and your heart functioning and all those other good organs inside.

If you go on a 1200K “diet” you will be starving your body of 400K per day and you will lose weight and you will lose the ability of your body to burn fat effectively.  So when you stop going to the WW meetings because you have met your goal, and you’re all happy and you start eating again, the body can’t burn the non-diet extra calories up, your furnace has gotten smaller and your fat storage capacity has become larger and so you store more fat.

Same thing with Jinny Crage, they feed you processed food in small quantities.  Where is the nutrition in that?  Very little in there the body can use, it uses energy (calories) to try and process all the processed food and you lose weight.  I had a friend who operated a system like this in Canada and they weren’t health experts.  Anyone can buy a franchise.  They couldn’t figure out, how come when the people were through their program their weight was down but their body fat percentage was up?  Hmmm…they felt they were helping people and they wanted to help people, that’s why they bought the franchise but they were disappointed with the results.   She told me they had lots of repeat customers because very few of them could keep the weight off once they left the structured meal program. They sold the franchise.

I hope this session has been helpful for you in understanding a bit about the internal workings of our body.  Just for the record……when we get desperate to lose weight, most of us will try anything, regardless of the health consequences.  I KNOW all this stuff and yet, about four years ago, I went ahead and joined WW on line and tried it for about six months.  The problem….because I knew all that, I didn’t follow the program very well and , well I did gain a few more pounds.  Crying face

Tomorrow….I will tell you all the weight loss systems I have tried since 1996 when my fat started showing up and I weighed only 120 lbs. then.  Wouldn’t I love to see that weight again?!  Yep, I had a poufy belly starting back then and that was the beginning of my weight watching.  Of course, I didn’t know then what I know now.  See you tomorrow.  Be right back

CATCHING UP

Where did the week go?  Let’s back up to Wednesday.  What I can remember.  I took a couple pics of our meals for the day.  DSC00472[1]This was lunch.  I used a couple teaspoons of avocado oil to saute the veggies and tofu.  As soon as they are tender crisp and tofu a little brown I add a big splash of Bragg’s Liquid Aminos.  This made a very satisfying and healthy lunch.

grilled_chicken_(2)[1]

One of my favorite foods. Chicken done on the grill.  This was so succulent and yummy.  It’s called BARE chicken because it’s grown without hormones and processed without being steeped in a salt water solution or injected with sodium.  If you look at most chickens and pieces in the store you will see they contain up to a 15% solution of sodium.  That helps to preserve them because of the terrible way they handled them.  It also plumps up the chicken and makes the meat absorb and hold water.  More $ per pound for the sellers.   If it makes the chicken retain water, what do you think eating that chicken will make your body do?  Yep, take in the sodium and retain water, creating extra poundage for you on the scale.

THURSDAY:  hemp_protein[1]I still have this hemp protein on hand.  You can see it’s from Trader Joe’s.  Want a little tip?  Don’t buy it!  It tastes awful and it is very gritty.  Since I bought it and I know hemp seed IS good for me, I’m going to go ahead and use it up.  I’ve got about five more servings I think.  It’s preeeeettttyy bad!  Healthful ingredients but nasty on the tongue.

Crying face  Thursday, Gilbert came home and said how soon can you have a bag packed and be ready to go for a couple of days?  Well,  I had a call coming in at two so I told him about three o’clock.   So off we went up to the beauty of the North Woods.  It’s pretty here too but we went up to stay overnight by one of the lakes in Eagle River.  It was GORGEOUS.  We enjoyed our time away…so what do you eat when you are eating out?  That’s a question I get asked often.  Thursday evening we went to a supper club and had a sirloin steak, baked potato, French onion soup and a fried white piece of dough that was like Indian Fry bread.  We split the steak b/c it was twelve ounces and that seemed a tad more than either of us wanted to tackle. Plate

For breakfast we went to a place called Dinky Diner, it has been around since 1943, just a tiny place but wow could they turn out a great breakfast. I had a three egg vegetarian omelet with swiss cheese.  I could only eat a two egg portion size.  I had 1/2 piece of whole wheat toast with it and I was very satisfied with that.  In the past, I would have eaten that whole thing because of the taste, but I had no room for it.  And YES, we did take our water, shakers and Bio-slim packs in with us and drank it before we ate.  I had to really convince Gilbert it was okay to do that.  He wouldn’t take his in the supper club but I did.  Smile

For lunch we stopped at Subway and I chose their spinach salad with roasted chicken and built my own salad from their choices.  I topped it with vinagrette and it was super yummy.  Supper we were with Sarah, Tony and his parents and we all went out to eat after watching the salmon run in Kewaunee,  oh my that was something.  To see those big fish flying through the air going upstream on those water falls.  I took my shaker in, and ordered baked white fish and cross cut seasoned fries.  I dare say that is the first time Janeen has EVER left a french fry on her plate.  I ate only three of the fries and the others at the table ate the rest of them.  I just didn’t have any desire to eat them.

Saturday:  Was really in a hurry because the BioSlim meeting in Wausau was at 9:00 and I thought it started and 9:30 so I quick ate a couple of scrambled eggs and took an apple with me.  Lunch was 1/2 of a terrible salad from Wendy’s.  Supper was grilled pork chops, acorn squash and brown rice.   I do a lot of grilling when the season is on because it’s hard to get the heat out of the grill in the winter, even though I love grilled food, it’s just not so easy in the winter.  I start that gas grill as soon as I can in the spring.

Now that brings us to today:  Sunday:  I weighed each morning but saw no change and now today I am down another pound.  So that is six full pounds gone.  I do know tomorrow the inches will be a nice surprise too.  The skirt I am wearing today could be taken in by two inches in the waist and I bought this thing not so long ago.  I bought it and never wore it because once I got it home I just looked FAT in it.  I suppose because the shirt that goes with it was so snug the fat just showed up.  In the store I had a different shirt on with it but it didn’t match it, and I was just trying the skirt on and didn’t care about that shirt so didn’t look at it as an outfit.  Good thing it didn’t cost very much because I won’t be able to wear it again, it will be way to loose.  WOOT!!! What a great feeling.  I am SO liking this product.  (everyday I’m doing the happy dance)NoteNoteNote

For breakfast this morning I mixed that hemp protein into a glass of LifeWay Kefir.  It went down a little easier but I will be glad when that canister is empty.  Lunch was enchiladas.  I’m going to give you a picture and the recipe.  These are so easy and taste so good.

I had made a kettle of pinto beans the other day and wanted to use those up.

Beans_Rice_Enchiladas[1]

Here’s the recipe

Pinto Beans and Rice Enchiladas

2 cups pinto beans mashed

3/4 cup cooked brown rice

1 Tablespoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1- 8 oz package shredded Mozzarella cheese (divided)

1 – 9 oz can enchilada sauce

6 large black olives sliced

1/2 small jalapeno pepper, chopped(optional)

10 corn tortillas

Stir all ingredients together except enchilada sauce, tortillas, and half of the cheese.

Spray an 11 x 9 inch baking pan with Pam or baking spray.  Put two Tablespoons of enchilada sauce in bottom of baking pan and tilt to fully cover the bottom.  If your tortillas are refrigerator cold, microwave them for 10-15 seconds to soften so they won’t tear.  On each tortilla, place 1/4 cup of mixture and roll up and place in pan.  Carefully pour enchilada sauce over all so that each one is thoroughly covered.   Bake in a 350 oven 20 – 30 minutes so that the middle ones are hot and cheese is melted inside them.  Then, turn the oven off and top them with the remainder of the cheese and let the heat of the oven melt the cheese.

While the enchiladas are baking, finely chop some lettuce and add some cilantro leaves and tomatoes.  In a blender or Magic Bullet, blend a half cup of buttermilk dressing with a peeled avocado.  Serve all together with the salsa of your choice.

Two enchiladas makes a serving.  Serves 5

Hope you enjoy it.  It’s a standby for us.

I’ll post my inches lost tomorrow!  See you then!

Tuesday oct 4 2011

Gilbert told me when I lost five pounds he would start using the product.  Well today is the day!!  Five pounds gone the first week.  That has NEVER happened before.  I have never lost five pounds in the first month.  I tend to hold on to the weight and then all my efforts and eating carefully and exercising more and drinking water bring me at the most a three pound loss per MONTH.  And that was only once otherwise it’s less than 1/2 a pound per week.

I can see how it is that people stick with this product.  If you SEE results you are pleased and you want to see more.  (pavlov dog response, ring the bell and I’ll lose more)  ha ha  well it’s not that simple.  But really, drink fiber ten minutes before a meal, wait four hours between your two daytime meals and twelve between supper and breakfast.  Eat some protein for breakfast.  How simple is that?   Click on that September post and watch that video again if you have questions.  It says it all.

Let’s see, yesterday I had an apple and cheese for breakfast.  Lunch was this yummy combo of Tofu, stir fried celery, green peppers, onions and garlic.  I used avocado oil to stir fry in and kind of brown up that tofu. I added a couple splashes of Braggs liquid Aminos and super yum!  I have a couple of boxes of Tofu to use up before they expire (must have been a sale on ‘em) so I will probably use this for my lunch most of this week, making it fresh each time.  And every time I tell someone I ate tofu they always ask me…do you like that????  Well, Yes, I DO!

Here’s a pic of yesterday’s lunch.

tofu lunch

Supper was leftover roast beef, with potatoes and gravy all reheated in the same pan and then some squash.  mmmm.  love squash.

I did get out at 5:00 for a gorgeous 45 minute walk.  It was so pretty.  And man was I busy today, got all kinds of things accomplished.  I did read somewhere that energy picks up about 7-10 days in, whew, I guess it did and I slept really well last night too.  ah, that's right, I did enjoy 2 tsps of peanut butter and and apple around 4:00. All that work burned more calories likely and my body said..Snack Time. Enjoy this fine autumn day, hope it’s as beautiful by you.

Monday’s tape measure day

Also blood works results

Whoo-hooooo I really never thought I would see the day again, when I would be excited to jump on a scale and use a tape measure.

Think about it, how many times over the past few years has that been a moment to dread.  How about, if you don’t use the tape measure or scale, you don’t like looking for clothes in your closet because most of them, you KNOW are too tight.  They used to look nice and you loved them but now??? the closet is packed and we have nothing to wear.  I find myself choosing the same things over and over because in truth…I might be able to cram myself into some of those clothes but they are not comfortable to wear all day long.  I realized awhile back that fitting into something and looking good in it are two very different things.

How about, I can wear it but I have to wear a long shirt and the skirt is unzipped two inches so I can breathe.  Yep, done all that and I didn’t like myself one bit during that process.

You know what happened today???? It’s exciting for me…I pulled on the comfortable pair of new capris that I just bought about a month ago, the size 14 pair….they are TOO LOOSE.  If I had tried these on that day and they fit like this, I would have left them there and tried on the twelve.  It would be the reverse of what actually happened.  Embarrassed smile I tried on the twelve, they were tight, I grudgingly went back for the fourteen and sighed with resignation that I simply cannot lose weight.

So here are todays results.  I’m not going to post the individual inches lost every week.  I would if I could figure out how to put a chart on here that I could add to, but you’ll be happy to rejoice with me because FIVE and A QUARTER INCHES are no longer on my body.  ( doin’ the happy dance here)  Yes, FIVE and a QUARTER INCHES, and down four pounds.  So don’t get discouraged if you find you aren’t losing a pound a day, the inches coming off are just as fun and actually healthier too.  You can lose weight and store fat, what you want to do is lose the fat and in some cases increase the weight as your muscles tone up and become more efficient at burning the fat.  Yep, your muscle is the furnace.

And here’s the blood work

Total Cholesterol 350 Normal levels 200 and lower

HDL (the good guys) 43  40 and above the higher the better

LDL (the bad guys) 249   4-100

Triglycerides 288    150 and lower the lower the better

Glucose  95 65-100

Blood Pressure 136/80  normal for me is 120/70

So there you have it, let’s watch these numbers change.

Thanks for checking in!  Surprised smile

Sunday’s Post

No weight loss today. but man, that dress I wore last Sunday sure looked a lot better on me today than last week.  I’m excited to be taking measurements tomorrow.

Today’s meals:

Breakfast:  I wasn’t very hungry at all when I woke up.  I drank my fiber drink and had a pear and a piece of longhorn colby cheese.

Lunch:  MMMM  old fashioned pot roast with potatoes, onions and carrots all cooked together and home made gravy.  I had a plate that was full.  Two whole carrots, one small potato, 1/2 a large onion, lots of gravy and about four ounces of meat.  I ate that and that was all.  My normal habit is to keep eating for taste.  You know, it just tastes so good.  I almost always have three potatoes with gravy and at least another ounce of meat with gravy.  I could NOT do it.  I could not eat another bite.  Gilbert couldn’t believe that was it!  What he said, you’re not eating more than me for a change?  LOL

(clarification here!  I am NOT trying to deliberately eat less of anything.  I am NOT fixing any “special” foods, I am NOT saying oh, yum, I could eat more but I won’t)

It was so beautiful out today.  I just wanted to go for a walk.  I grabbed my camera and went out just walking, not pushing, not over exertion, but not strolling.  Just walking and stopping whenever I wanted to take a picture or two.  Saw some beautiful butterflies and the milkweed is opening.  I walked for about forty minutes.

DSC00455DSC00460

Snack:  I was a tiny bit hungry at 4:00 and we were watching the football game on our laptops and I ate an apple and a Tablespoon of peanut butter. It’s a favorite standby snack.   ( Packers  beat the Broncos and now are 4-0)

Supper: Now, since I snacked, I’m not hungry.  Something light then.  I had DSC00466this soup in the cupboard and added to it the leftover ring of bolgona which was about seven ounces.  I heated up the last of the cornbread and had a small piece of that to go along with the bologna soup. Ha ha.  A new concoction.  Here’s the soup pic.

I go to the doctor tomorrow morning and will go ahead and post my stats.  You’ll be shocked I know but that cholesterol and triglycerides is something I have battled with even when I only weighed 100 lbs. at age twenty one.  Being thin outside doesn’t mean you don’t have internal fat.

Good Night, then, til tomorrow!

How Week One played out

Monday:  I went to get blood work done.  My appointment with the doctor will be this coming Monday.  I came home and at 9:30 a.m. began my Bioslife Slim journey.  Ten ounces of water, one pack of slim, dump into my shaker bottle, shake, and drink.  Hmmm…tastes pretty good.  Mild and kind of like a slushy.  Smells like orange julius.

Took my measurements in inches  Weight @ home 156 @ Dr. 158lbs.

Neck: 14 1/2

Boobs: 41

Chest: 36

Waist: 37-1/2

Hips: 42

R. Thigh: 24 -3/8

L. Thigh : 24 – 1/4

R. Calf: 14-1/2

L. Calf: 14-1/2

R: Arm 12 -5/8

L. Arm: 12

Because my triglycerides and cholesterol are so high my personal plan is to use three packs of slim per day.  One before each meal.  I will not post this with every meal just know that I am having three per day.

Breakfast: toast and peanut butter

Lunch:   1/2 cup of Chicken w/ celery and mayo

Supper:  Curried Shrimp Click on the words for the recipe.  I added sauteed shrimp and half a can of diced tomatoes.  Had about one cup and half a cup of rice.  I truly am stuffed and cannot eat another bite.

I was not hungry at all today.  I ate only for my three meals.  Remember, it’s four hours between breakfast and lunch, and four hours between lunch and supper then twelve hours between supper and breakfast.  4-4-12 is the key.  I have never gone that long without eating something.  I wasn’t craving anything, didn’t have to talk myself into waiting til lunch.  It just seemed natural.  I drank at least a gallon of water.  Somehow this makes me want to drink water and that’s a good thing.  It helps the fiber to move through.  Remember not to drink right after you take the fiber though.  You will dilute it and it needs to stay thick in your belly.  I did house work but no other exercise.

Tuesday:  lost one pound. Went to a funeral today and was gone from 8:30 – 4:00 so no exercise again and lots of sitting.

Breakfast:  two eggs and a piece of homemade sourdough bread with butter.

Lunch:  We ate at Culvers, I had a mushroom and swiss single burger. I drank my Bioslim in the car before we got there.  Everyone else ordered fries and ice cream with their burgers.  I couldn’t have eaten either of those. I was very satisfied with just the burger.  (never happened before)  Nyah-Nyah

Supper:  We ordered a small 12 inch pizza, Gilbert wondered if would be large enough.  I had three small pieces or about a quarter of the whole pizza and he ate the rest.  I could not have eaten more if I wanted.  My usual would have been to eat 1/2 of the small size.

Wednesday:  lost one pound. Breakfast was  2/3  cup of non-fat yogurt, a handful of walnuts and a small apple.  I got hungry between brkfst and lunch so ate a small apple and six almonds. I ate the almonds to slow the glycemic rush a piece of fruit gives you.

Lunch:  Left over curried shrimp and rice about one cup total.  I mixed them together to heat it up.

Supper:   one cup homemade Chili and baked potato with 1/4 cup of cottage cheese.

Thursday: lost one pound. Breakfast:  yogurt and nuts again.  ate the apple in between.

Lunch: same leftovers trying to get it cleaned up.  still have enough left for tomorrow.  I’m easy, I don’t need a lot of variety. Smile

Supper: One cup of chili again with cottage cheese and one piece of cornbread with butter.

Friday:  lost one pound.  Breakfast: one fried egg and one egg white with piece of sourdough toast and butter.

Lunch: the last of the curried shrimp and an apple

Supper: Ring of bologna, about four ounces,  1.5 cups fried potatoes and onions, 1/4 cup baked beans, 1/3 cup cole slaw.

Saturday: Lost four pounds this week so far, very exciting.  I do think I have lost a bit in inches also as I could button a pair of pants that I couldn’t last week. I finally got outside and moved a bit.  cleaned up my flower pots and such so not exactly what you would call exercise.

Breakfast: 1 egg, 1 egg white, one very small piece of toast and butter.

Lunch:  We went out and had Broasted chicken and Broasted potatoes with slaw and shared a coke.  I only had 1/4 of the can. This is the first time in history that I did not finish off all my potatoes and some of Gilberts at that place.  I could only eat 1 and a half leg pieces.  They are small.  My usual portion is three pieces usually two legs and a thigh.  I could NOT eat any more. I was stuffed.  Generally will have 1/2 the can of coke.

Supper: a small bowl of chili and 1/4 piece of a cake pop.

The reason I wanted to post my meals is so that you can see I am just eating normal food.  Not excessive amounts of salads or vegetables.  This was an unusual week for us though because I didn’t get a chance to go grocery shopping and we have been gone a lot for the last two weeks so we didn’t have a lot of fresh stuff on hand.

As it moves towards cooler days though, we tend to eat most of our veggies in soups and very little salads.  It’s just too cold for salad.  We want warm fuzzy feeling foods! Pizza  LOL!

I still have tomorrow to go to be one full week.  We shall see what the scale says tomorrow.  I don’t expect to lose every single day but it’s fun to see what is happening.  I do know that if you don’t lose the weight then you can be pretty sure the inches are changing.

Tomorrow I will post about why, from a nutrition stand point, I think this is a better program than commercial programs.  You know like Jinnys Krage (spelled wrong intentionally so as not to get the TM infringement people after me)  Wate Watchers too!  Later Gators! Turtle
